Halls Crossing Wakeboarding Boat Rentals, jet skis, wakeboard lesson, and watercraft rentals services this side of Lake Powell in Utah.  Bullfrog Marina is located on Lake Powell, about 95 boat miles upstream from Glen Canyon Dam, directly across the lake from Bullfrog Marina.  The National Park Service maintains a Boater Contact Station at Halls Crossing that is staffed intermittently during the summer with not as many services as Bullfrog, Wahweap, or Antelope Point.  It also provides a public launch ramp and free boat pump-out station with houseboat rentals and slips with boat tours to some amazing canyons on Lake Powell.  The nice thing about Halls Crossing Marina is that it’s not as crowded as the other Lake Powell marinas.

Air Chair and Sky Ski Lessons

Air Chair lessons offered by Invert Sports at all lakes and reservoirs in the western states.  Air Chair or Sky Ski is where someone is sitting on a Hydrofoil, and flying above the water on a seat.  Air Chair is a relatively new type of water sport activity and most people don't even know what it is.

This water sport is extremely unique, instead of riding on top of the water like with skiing or wakeboarding, you ride over the water; like your floating in the air.  The chair has a hydrofoil attached to a three foot long post which creates the lift to make the air chair glide smoothly over the top of the water.  This is a more difficult activity than most other water sports depending on the person, however it is one of the most amazing sports on the water, and takes little effort once you get the hang of it.

Enjoy Wakeskate Lessons

Private and group wakeskate lessons are generally started after you learn how to wakeboard and wakesurf, but not required.  Wakeskating is like a skateboard on water.  You will already have all the skills you need to wakeskate after you know how to wakesurf and wakeboard.  Wakeskate lessons are great for people who love skateboarding, and want more difficulty in a sport.  

Wakeskating will take more balance and patients than learning other water sports, but is well worth the time.  Its feels unusual not to have the board strapped to your feet while wake skating, and the board is a lot more squirrely than wakeboarding; which mean more crashes! The nice thing is; wrecks generally won't hurt.  The perfect boat speed for beginners is between 15-19 mph; once you hit the intermediate and advanced stages the boat instructor will travel 19-25 mph on your wakeskate lessons.

Have the boat slowly moving before you try to get up.  The pressure of the water is what will keep the wake skate on the bottom of your feet.  If the wake sport boat is at a complete stop, then the wakeskate will lie flat across the water.  The ski boat should be going a little faster than you would with a wakeboard so you can get up before losing balance.  You need to try to get up while the boat is pulling you, however.  Instead of lying back and waiting for the boat to lift you up, try to pull yourself up a little with the wakeboard rope.

Utah Wakesurf Lessons at all Utah Lakes

Utah Wake surfing lessons is one of the fastest growing water sport activities, and allows all riders the feel of catching the "WAVE" behind any inboard v-drive Utah wake surf boat.  Utah Wakesurf Lessons are great for any age group, and generally is one of the easiest water sports to learn.  The wake surf boat is moving slow, you have a large board to get out of the water, and the wave is pushing the wakesurfer.  It doesn't take much energy to wakesurf which makes it a relaxing sport for older guys who have given up on wakeboarding, and slalom skiing.  Invert Sports has great instructors that have been trained to get you up wake surfing quickly, and start progressing towards carving, and butter sliding the wake.  Here are some pointers before you come out on out private Utah wakesurf lessons. 

With a skim board style wakesurf board, put your feet on the board like you were on a wakeboard or wakeskate.  Place the board in front of you with the board sideways; both your feet on the wakesurfer.  Use one hand to hold the wake surf board to your feet and the other to hold the rope.  When you are ready, tell the boat driver to accelerate slowly.  As soon as the wake boat starts moving, you can let go of the surfboard, and hold the handle with both hands.  The force of the moving water will hold the wakesurfer firmly against your feet.  Then Stand up slowly on the wake surfer.
